Shipping policy

This Shipping Policy forms part of our Terms of Service and should be read together with them. It explains how and when orders are processed, dispatched, and delivered when you purchase from The Petal Cove.

Delivery Area

We normally deliver within the United Kingdom only. Please read the final section "International Orders by Request" for delivery outside the UK. 

Delivery Provider

Orders are dispatched using Royal Mail delivery services. The delivery option available for your order will be shown at checkout.

Processing Time

Orders are processed after the contract is formed in accordance with section 4 of our Terms of Service.

For non-custom products, orders are usually dispatched within 1–3 working days after order acceptance, unless a different timeframe is stated on the product page or at checkout.

Commissioned Works (Bespoke) are made to order and are not dispatched within a fixed timeframe.

Work begins only after the Specification has been confirmed as described in section 5 of our Terms of Service.

Dispatch takes place only after the artwork has been completed and you have given final approval.

Any timeframes shown on the website, at checkout, or in confirmation emails are estimates only and are not guaranteed dispatch dates.

Orders are not processed, created, or dispatched on weekends or UK public holidays.

Delivery Options & Estimated Times (UK)

Estimated delivery times are provided by Royal Mail and are not guaranteed.

Royal Mail 2nd Class: usually 2–4 working days after dispatch

Royal Mail 1st Class: usually 1–2 working days after dispatch

Delivery time begins after dispatch, not when the order is placed.

Delivery Costs

Delivery costs are shown at checkout before you place your order.

Where a statutory cancellation right applies, any refund of delivery charges is limited to the cost of the standard delivery option, in accordance with our Terms of Service and applicable consumer law.

Dispatch Confirmation

When your order is dispatched, we send a dispatch confirmation email.

Where a tracked service is used, tracking details will be provided where available.

Delivery Address

Orders are delivered to the address you provide at checkout.

You are responsible for ensuring the address is correct before completing your order.

We are not responsible for delays or loss caused by incorrect or incomplete addresses provided by the customer.

Risk & Responsibility for Goods

In accordance with section 7 of our Terms of Service, risk passes to you when the goods are delivered to:

  • you,
  • your nominated neighbour,
  • or a safe place you have authorised with the carrier.

Until delivery takes place, the goods remain our responsibility.

Delays Outside Our Control

Delivery times may be affected by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Royal Mail delays or industrial action
  • severe weather
  • transport disruption
  • public holidays
  • force majeure events (see section 12 of our Terms of Service)

We are not liable for such delays but will take reasonable steps to assist where possible.

Lost, Damaged, or Missing Orders

If your order has not arrived within 10 working days after dispatch, please contact us using the details in our Terms of Service.

If an item arrives damaged, you must notify us as soon as reasonably possible and provide photographs if requested so we can investigate with the carrier.

Your statutory rights for goods that are faulty, damaged, or not as described are not affected (see section 8 of our Terms of Service).

International Orders by Request

We normally deliver within the United Kingdom only. International delivery may be arranged on request at our discretion. Please contact us ahead of your order.

If we agree to ship outside the United Kingdom, delivery costs, timescales, customs requirements, and any additional terms will be confirmed before the order is accepted and the contract is formed.

Unless stated otherwise before purchase, the buyer is responsible for any import duties, taxes, customs charges, or handling fees charged by the destination country.

Estimated delivery times for international orders are not guaranteed and may be affected by customs processing or carrier delays outside our control.
